THERE
WILL BE NO FURTHER ONE DAY CLASSES IN nFS AFTER JUNE 25 UNTIL IT
IS ANNOUNCED FOR UTAH.
THE
FIVE DAY CLASSES WILL CONTINUE TO INCLUDE TRAINING IN nFS.
With
an increased interest in new FamilySearch and the possible availability
of this new program in the near future, the Utah South Area Family
History Training Center is embarking on an ambitious training schedule
to accommodate Family History Center Directors, Family History Consultants,
Priesthood Leaders, and others with a need or desire to learn. The
following training options will be available in 2008:
The Five
Day Class, scheduled throughout 2008, will provide the best all-around
training for students. Currently, the Five Day class includes an
introduction to new FamilySearch with a hands-on lab. All students
have temporary access to the program during class week. In
February, we will begin teaching more classes and labs on the various
aspects of new FamilySearch. These classes and labs will cover the
same topics on new FamilySearch as those that will be taught in
the Sunday Night Classes listed below. To register for the Five
Day Class, please click on "Five Day Class" on the menu
to the left.
Effective
January 6, the Sunday Night program will offer four classes each
month on four consecutive Sunday nights from 6:30 to 9:00
p.m. with instruction and labs on various aspects of new FamilySearch.
This is to accommodate Family History Consultants and others who
cannot attend the Five Day class.
Subjects
covered during this program include: Introduction to new FamilySearch;
Combining duplicate records; Evaluating, Adding an Opinion, Disputing,
Editing and Deleting; Searching and Adding New Information, Clearing
names for Temple work, etc.
